Benefits
- Only living expenses and tuition are covered by the Foundation.
- Only the first two years of study are funded; after that, students are expected to find other sources of financial support.
- Master’s degree programs are prioritized, however PhD applications are also taken into account. Funding is available for distance learning programs and local or regional universities as long as the course maintains a high degree of quality.
- In order to maintain the program’s viability, the scholarship is set up as a 50% grant and 50% loan, with students expected to return half of the funds.
- Six months following the conclusion of the Aga Khan Foundation-funded study term, the five-year repayment period will start.
