About the Fellowship
For almost 90 years, Zonta has backed women pushing boundaries in aerospace and space science. Since inception, Zonta has awarded 1,824 Amelia Earhart Fellowships totaling more than US$12.5 million to 1,395 women from 81 countries.
The 2027 award amount reflects the fellowship’s 90th-anniversary increase to US$12,000. Fellows may also receive programme-related membership benefits as announced by Zonta for the biennium - confirm current extras on the official page.

Eligibility
- Woman of any nationality
- Pursuing a Ph.D./doctoral degree with a superior academic record
- Conducting research applied to aerospace engineering or space sciences
- Registered in a full-time Ph.D./doctoral programme
- Have completed at least one year of that programme or hold a master’s degree in an aerospace-applied field at application time
- Must not graduate from the Ph.D./doctoral programme before April 2028
- Post-doctoral research programmes are not eligible
