Program overview

Full description, requirements, and what to expect

One of the most prominent undergraduate scholarships in the US for students interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) careers is the Goldwater Scholarship 2027. The Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation is in charge of administering it, and it helps exceptional students who have a lot of promise for careers in research. The scholarship offers up to $7,500 annually to pay for living expenses, housing, books, tuition, and fees. The program was created in 1986 by the U.S. Congress in honor of Senator Barry Goldwater with the goal of producing highly qualified workers in STEM subjects. Many of the recipients have gone on to receive further honors over the years, including the Churchill Scholarship, Rhodes Scholarship, and NSF Graduate Fellowship.
