ELIGIBILITY - A PhD in theoretical physics is required, or a PhD defence date must be set before the fellowship starts. - After completing their PhD, candidates should have no more than six years of postdoctoral research experience. - Under the Non-Member State Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, a small number of posts are also available to citizens of non-Member States. - Applicants must not be current employees of CERN.
BENEFITS - Employment Contract: 24 months from the start, with a 36-month extension possible. - Monthly living allowance: Competitive pay with a net-tax range of CHF 6,911 to CHF 7,326. - Health insurance: Complete protection for the policyholder and their dependents. - Pension Fund: Complete enrolment in the CERN Pension Plan. - Additional Allowances: Depending on eligibility and individual circumstances, financial assistance for installation, family, child, and baby care. - Travel Costs: Payment for round-trip airfare to and from Geneva at the beginning and conclusion of the fellowship. - Paid Leave: The right to two and a half days of paid time off each month.
