Apply for the Coca-Cola Scholarship 2027 in USA (150 Awards) - officially the Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship from the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation. Each year, 150 high school seniors are selected to receive a $20,000 college scholarship based on leadership, service, and impact in their schools and communities.

The 2027 application is for students graduating high school during the 2026 - 2027 academic year. Phase 1 is open 3 August - 30 September 2026. Deadline: Wednesday, 30 September 2026 at 5:00 PM Eastern. Phase 1 requires no essays, no transcript, and no recommendations.

This is an achievement-based scholarship (leadership and service), not a need- or income-based award.

Eligibility - Coca-Cola Scholarship 2027

Applicants must be:

  • Currently enrolled high school or homeschooled students attending school in one of the 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or select DoD schools
  • Graduating high school during the 2026 - 2027 academic year
  • U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, U.S. Permanent Residents, Refugees, Asylees, Cuban-Haitian Entrants, or Humanitarian Parolees (per U.S. Department of Education federal aid guidelines)
  • Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution
  • Able to verify a minimum overall B / 3.0 GPA

Applicants may not be:

  • International students (except students at eligible DoD schools)
  • Students already graduated from high school
  • Temporary residents
  • Graduates of American/expat schools abroad
  • Children or grandchildren of current Coca-Cola Company / bottler employees, officers, or owners (or of certain retirees receiving Coca-Cola retirement benefits)

Selection Process

  1. Phase 1 - Online application (3 Aug - 30 Sep): activities and achievements; no essays/transcript/recommendations
  2. Phase 2 - Semifinalists (~1%): essays, transcript, and a recommendation due in November
  3. Phase 3 - Regional Finalists (~250): interviews with Coke Scholar alumni/staff in late Jan / early Feb
  4. Phase 4 - Coca-Cola Scholars (150): invited to Scholars Weekend in Atlanta in April to confirm selection
