What Is the Rtp Scholarship at Deakin University
Research Training Program (RTP) scholarship for postgraduate research students. This scholarship is funded by the Australian Government.

- A stipend of $34,400 per annum tax exempt (2024 rate)

Duration of the Scholarship
- For the Doctoral degree program: The stipend will be given for 3 years, and tuition fees off set for 4 years.
- For the Master degree program: The stipend will be given for 2 years, and tuition fees off set for 2 years.
To be eligible for the Deakin University RTP Scholarship
- An applicant must be an international or domestic student.
- An applicant must have an offer or be enrolled in an HDR course of study at Deakin University.
- To be eligible for the scholarship an applicant must not receive income from another source to support if that income is greater than 75 percent of that student’s RTP.
- Students of the RTP scholarship will be enrolled as on-campus full-time students.
- Completed at least 4 years of undergraduate degree program.
