Apply for the European Medicines Agency (EMA) Traineeship Programme 2026 - paid EU traineeships at the Agency's headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands. What Is EMA?

The European Medicines Agency is the EU body responsible for the scientific evaluation, authorisation, and safety monitoring of human and veterinary medicines. Based in Amsterdam since 2019, EMA works with national regulators across Member States to protect public and animal health. A traineeship here offers front-line exposure to EU pharmaceutical law, regulatory science, and cross-border public-health policy.

Who Can Apply

General eligibility (specific vacancies may add requirements):

  • Citizen of an EU Member State, or of Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway
  • Recent graduate with a university degree (minimum three years) obtained between 30 September 2025 and 30 September 2026, OR
  • University student on Erasmus+ or similar exchange, OR a Master's or PhD student with a completed prior degree in a relevant field
  • English: thorough knowledge (CEFR C1 minimum)
  • Second EU official language: good knowledge (CEFR B2 minimum)

You must provide proof of citizenship and qualifications at application and interview stages.
