Exemption From the English Language Test Proficiency

All courses at GIST University are conducted in English. eligible candidates may apply without the English language test. If you have been selected, you must submit your test score later.

If you have completed your bachelor’s degree in an English-speaking country (Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, or the USA ), you are eligible to apply to GIST without an English Proficiency Test result.

Other than that, all applicants must submit an official English proficiency test score, such as TOEFL (IBT, PBT), IELTS, TOEIC, and TEPS.

The GIST University strongly recommends that you obtain the English test score because the Korean Immigration Service may require an English or Korean test score for a VISA application.

Required documents: From Students

  • Official degrees and transcripts are required or notarized copies are acceptable.
  • Two letters of recommendation must have the signatures and stamps of the recommenders.
  • The recommenders do not have to send the letters independently or separately.
  • Official English language test report.
  • A copy of the applicant’s passport is required.
