What Is the Global Korea Scholarship.

In short, the GKS stands for Global Korea Scholarship, formally known as the Korean Government Scholarship Program.

Tracks of the Gks Scholarship

The Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) offers two application tracks

  • Embassy Track: You will submit your applications to the Korean Embassy in your home country. You will select the Korean Universities specified by the Korean Embassy in your home country. Generally higher competition due to more applicants.
  • University Track: In this track, you should apply directly for admission to the Korean University and select the GKS Scholarship in the online application form.

Scholarship Duration

  • Master’s Degree: 3 Years (1 year Korean Language, 2 years of degree)
  • Doctoral Degree: 4 years (1 year Korean language, 3 years degree)
  • Research Program: 6 Months.
