ELIGIBILITY - A PhD or other qualified health professional degree must be held or anticipated to be obtained prior to the fellowship’s start date. - Must have finished all of the PhD requirements in the last three years. (Extensions might be given in certain situations, as when a career is interrupted.). - No tenured or tenure-track academic faculty position may be held at this time. - Must have never been the recipient of a Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship or any other Tri-Agency postdoctoral fellowship grant. - The planned study ought to be fresh, creative, and obviously different from the applicant’s PhD thesis. - Candidates may apply to the program up to three times in total.

BENEFITS - CAD $70,000 in funding each year, which offers substantial financial support for living and research-related costs. - The 24-month (2-year) fellowship period gives candidates enough time to finish a significant postdoctoral research project. - Funding is available for both Canadian and authorized foreign universities, providing flexibility for international research mobility and collaboration. - Fellows can enhance their academic and professional profiles by having access to advanced research training and organized career development opportunities. - Acknowledgment as the recipient of a distinguished Tri-Agency Government of Canada award, which improves reputation, visibility, and long-term employment opportunities in research and academia.
