Financial Aid
- For Master Studies:
- Non-EU Students: 934 euros monthly stipend to cover living expenses, health insurance, and Tuition fees are covered in some cases.
- EU Students: 812 euros monthly stipend, and 300 euros book money per month.
- For PhD Studies:
- Non-EU PhD students: €1,200 per month plus €100 mobility allowance per month, plus various individual allowances; tuition fees are not possible.
- EU PhD students: €1350 per month basic scholarship plus €100 per month research costs allowance; tuition fees are not possible in Germany but are possible to a limited extent in other countries.
General Eligibility Criteria
- The scholarship is open to all nationalities.
- Both German and international students can apply.
- Scholarship recipients to have excellent academic records

Criteria for International Master students who earned their university entrance qualification outside Germany:.
- eligible candidates may apply before starting your master’s program or up to the end of the first semester.
- You must provide proof of your first professional qualification.
- You must have a required level of German proficiency, which is Level B2 or DSH 2 (with a certificate).
Criteria for International Doctoral students who earned the university entrance qualification outside Germany:.
- You must include proof of admission to doctoral studies at a state or state-recognized university, usually in Germany, with your application.
- By the application closing date, you must have completed preliminary work and submitted a valid timetable for completion.
- PhD subjects related to the Foundation’s focal points will be given priority.
- You must have a required level of German proficiency, which is Level B2 or DSH 2 (with a certificate).
