ELIGIBILITY - Before submitting your application, obtain prior approval from a selected SSP supervisor. - Before enrolling, you must have a Master’s degree (or its equivalent, usually earned after 18 years of education) or be on track to get one. - Be at least 35 years old at the time of enrolment, in theory. - Keep up a stellar academic record for your master’s and bachelor’s degrees. - Demonstrate a strong drive, pertinent expertise, and research skills in the topic of study of your choice. - Show that you are proficient in English by fulfilling at least one of the requirements listed below:. - A minimum score of 72 on the TOEFL iBT, with at least 17 in writing. - IELTS: a minimum of 5.5 overall, including 5.5 in writing.
BENEFITS - The annual tuition charge of 535,800 yen is fully waived. - Exemption from the 300,000 yen enrollment cost and the 15,000 yen entrance exam fee. - For three years, a monthly living stipend of 150,000 yen will be given. - Overseas applicants living outside of Japan with “Student” residence status are eligible for an additional 150,000 yen in travel and initial settling funds.
