Are you a renowned academic or seasoned professional looking to further your Southeast Asian Studies research? Applications for the prestigious CSEAS Fellowship Program 2026 are currently being accepted by Kyoto University’s Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS).

Living in the culturally dynamic city of Kyoto and conducting in-depth research is made possible by this fully supported international fellowship. More than 400 researchers have been supported by the CSEAS Visiting Research Fellowship since 1975, promoting interdisciplinary, comparative, and internationally focused research on Southeast Asia. The program offers access to Japan’s abundant intellectual and cultural resources while promoting academic collaboration and exchange.
