ELIGIBILITY - Worldwide students are eligible to apply for the scholarship. - Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in a field closely linked to their graduate study choice, or an equivalent degree recognized by McGill University. - Admission to McGill’s Master’s program requires, unless otherwise indicated, the completion of a four-year degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited school. Similarly, to be admitted to a doctoral program, one must have completed a master’s degree in a related discipline at an accredited university. - For the final two years of full-time study, a minimum overall grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 out of 4.0, or a 3.2 out of 4.0 grade point average (GPA), is needed. However, admittance to some programs can require a higher CGPA. For particular information, see the criteria for your program. - The qualifications of applicants must match a degree from McGill University. For more details, see the Degree Equality page. - Since English is McGill’s primary language of instruction, proficiency in it is required. English language ability may still be necessary for some courses, even if dissertations, exams, and essays may occasionally be needed to be written in French.
