International students can receive full financing to intern at Japanese companies through the METI Japan Internship Program. International students are welcome to apply. Undergraduate and graduate students from OECD/DAC countries are eligible to apply for the METI Government of Japan Internship, which is run by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI). There is no application cost and no requirement for an IELTS score. All interns will receive a living stipend in addition to reimbursement for airfare, meals, and housing.
Based on their qualifications, companies throughout Japan will assign the chosen interns to different departments. Applicants will receive information about host firms that is specific to their profile after being selected. A total of 107 interns were hosted by 94 companies in 2023. The Japan Internship Program (JIP) is a premium internship program in Japan that aims to match each applicant’s experiences, talents, interests, and requirements with appropriate host organizations. Intern’s Duties
- Create an internship strategy after discussing it with the manager.
- Participate in the pre-training, the follow-up training, and the final presentation.
- Submit all required paperwork, notices, reports, etc. at different points during the internship.
- Take advantage of the opportunity to learn Japanese if you are offered a permanent position at the host company.
