Eligibility criteria

  • Candidates must be non-Chinese nationals with a current passport.
  • Before September 1, 2026, undergraduate candidates must be under 23 years old and hold a high school diploma.
  • Before September 1, 2026, master’s candidates must be under thirty years old and possess a bachelor’s degree.
  • Before September 1, 2026, PhD candidates must be under 35 years old and hold a master’s degree.
  • Candidates must be in good physical and mental health and free of illnesses that could interfere with their ability to study.
  • A minimum average score of 75% or above in prior coursework is required of applicants.
  • Additionally allowed are international standardized tests like the SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP, IB, IGCSE, WAEC, GED, GRE, or GMAT.
  • According to NPU’s entrance requirements, candidates must be proficient in either Chinese or English.
  • After obtaining foreign nationality, former Chinese nationals must maintain their new passport or citizenship documents for a minimum of four years.
  • Documents demonstrating foreign nationality at birth or, if relevant, proof of cancellation of Chinese nationality must be submitted by applicants if one or both parents are Chinese citizens.
