  • Elite Ph.D. Scholarship (for renewal): Minimum GPA of 3.76

Language Requirement

  • Undergraduate awardees: Completion of at least 4 Mandarin courses
  • Master’s & Ph.D. awardees: Completion of at least 2 Mandarin courses

Outstanding New Student Scholarship

  • Provides a monthly stipend (amount set by the selection committee)
  • Tuition and credit fee waiver, either:
  • Full waiver, or
  • Reduced to local student rates
  • May include additional matching funds from colleges, departments, or advisors

Elite Ph.D. Scholarship (New Students)

  • Monthly stipend of NT$33,000:
  • NT$25,000 from the Office of International Affairs
  • NT$8,000 from advisor matching fund
  • Full tuition and credit fee waiver
  • Awarded for the first two years of Ph.D. study

Outstanding Existing Student Scholarship

  • Provides a monthly stipend and/or tuition scholarship
  • Tuition reduction options same as those for new student scholarships
  • Awards are competitive and dependent on available budget
