For the Academic Year 2026, Erasmus has selected 2176 students from more than 137 countries. Here is an Erasmus chart that shows the largest number of applicants and countries.

Features of the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship

  • The Erasmus scholarship is not overly difficult to obtain, and there are no strict requirements.
  • There are no restrictions on returning to your home country; you can start a job in Europe after completing your education.
  • Each Semester in a different country, at a different university.

WHAT’S NOT REQUIRED FOR ERASMUS.

  • GRE is Not Required.
  • There is no need to contact any professor or anyone else.
  • No work experience is required.
  • No age restrictions.
  • People with a GPA between 2.5 and 3.0 have also been selected.

What Is Required for Erasmus.

  • IELTS or TOEFL test required for some master’s programs. (Better if you have)
  • People with at least 16 years of education can apply for it.
  • Make a Good CV. Try to make it according to the Europass CV Format. Europeans love this format.
  • Make Strong Recommendation letters, Motivation letters, and Statement of Purpose.
  • Start contacting your university professors, because reference letters might be required.

Tips for a Successful Application

  • Choose the Right Program: Carefully explore the available programs and their specific requirements that align with your previous degree and with your future goals.
  • If you are looking for a job in Europe after your studies, you should apply for the Erasmus program, as its alumni often receive priority over other candidates. Students in the program also have many professional activities available to them during their studies.
  • You will spend your semester in at least 2 countries in Europe.
  • eligible candidates may apply for a maximum of 3 programs from the EMJMD Catalogue. If you apply for more than 3, all your previous applications will be rejected. So, be careful.
  • Normally, an IELTS band score of 6.5 is sufficient for Erasmus.
  • Make your passport now. You need a Passport as an Identity Document to apply.

Explore the online EMJMD Catalogue. You can select and apply for a maximum of 3 programs. Each program has its website. Find it and explore it, find the Who can apply, Required documents, and other necessary things, and apply accordingly. Wait for the updated Catalogue. It will be updated in October 2025.

These points are for those who have a low GPA of less than 2.6

  • GPA matters a lot. But if you have a Low GPA, you can increase your chances with a Motivation letter, Statement of Purpose, Good IELTS Score, or a GRE if you have one. However, the GRE is not required.
  • Work Experience/internships, if you have; however, work experience is not required.
