The National College Match has the potential to change your life if you are a high-achieving student with lofty goals but little money. Designed to link academically exceptional, low-income high school graduates with the best universities in the country, it is one of the most prominent fully financed undergraduate scholarship programs in the United States.
The program, which is run by QuestBridge, offers students the opportunity to receive a complete four-year scholarship that covers tuition, housing, meals, and other necessary costs at one of its 55 prestigious college partners. Through the National College Match, qualified students can apply concurrently to several prestigious American universities as a free early-application and scholarship pathway.
Finalists may be “matched” to a partner university and given a full four-year scholarship, typically for more than $325,000, in addition to a legally binding offer of admission. Through QuestBridge Regular Decision, students who are not matched can still apply and often get substantial financial help.
The initiative works with fifty-five highly selected American colleges and institutions that are all dedicated to need-based financial aid, equity, and access. Students who have achieved academic success in spite of financial difficulties are actively sought after by these institutions. Students who participate in this program receive full four-year scholarships, early admission consideration, a debt-free college education, and access to outstanding academic and professional opportunities.
