High-achieving international candidates who wish to study at a reputable UK university while lowering the cost of higher education have a great opportunity with the UK Academic Excellence Scholarships 2026 - 2027. The award provides financial support for students to continue their education in the UK while also rewarding intellectual success.

This award, which is available for undergraduate degree programs, is given by the University of Bradford to students who receive exceptional A-level or comparable results. Up to £3,000 can be provided to qualified students throughout the course of a three-year degree; students who obtain AAA or above marks will receive £1,000 annually, contingent upon academic advancement. If academic standards are met, the scholarship may continue for lengthier degree programs, allowing students to concentrate on their studies without worrying about money.

Eligibility criteria

  • Candidates must complete their A-levels or equivalent coursework with AAA or higher grades.
  • Only three Level 3 qualifications should be completed by candidates.
  • Candidates must be from POLAR 4 quintiles 1 and 2, which are low-participation areas.
  • Students must be eligible as home students and reside in the United Kingdom.
  • EU citizens who currently reside in the UK may also qualify.
  • A full-time undergraduate degree program is required of applicants.
  • Candidates are not eligible if they already have a university degree.
  • Only first-year or foundation-stage students are eligible to transfer from another university.
  • This scholarship does not accept foundation requirements.

  • Over the course of a three-year degree program, students may receive up to £3,000.
  • During the first year of study, eligible participants will receive £1,000.
  • Students who maintain a minimum academic performance of 58% are eligible to continue receiving £1,000 a year.
  • The student’s bank account will receive a direct transfer of the award money.
  • Every year, payments will be issued in two installments, typically in November and April.
  • Funding for extra years may also be granted to students participating in degree programs that go longer than three years.
  • The number of scholarships is unlimited, and the reward will be given to all qualified students.
  • The scholarship assists students in succeeding academically and relieves financial strain.
