Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, is the sponsor of the University of Auckland Achiever Scholarship, which was founded in 2016. The purpose of this award is to honour and reward students who have excelled in athletics, the arts, culture, and/or leadership in addition to their high academic success.
The scholarship provides housing at the university to improve the educational experience and encourage top-notch performance. The University of Auckland Top Achiever Scholarship offers a total of $25,000. This includes a $5,000 living stipend and one year of catered housing at the University of Auckland Hall of Residence.
