● Status as an International Student: Candidates must be enrolled as international students and cannot be citizens of or have a permanent residency permit for Australia or New Zealand.
● New Admission: The scholarship is available to new students who have been accepted into an undergraduate or graduate program at the University of Auckland, including those from the Summer Start International Program or the English Language Academy (ELA), and who have received an unconditional or conditional offer of admission.
● Full-Time Enrolment: Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland undergraduate, postgraduate diploma (PGDip), and master’s degree programs need full-time enrolment from students.
● Academic Excellence: To ensure that students with great academic potential receive the scholarship, applicants must have a Grade Point Equivalent (GPE) of at least 6.00.
● Financial Contribution: To lessen the financial strain of studying abroad, high-achieving students may be eligible for tuition reimbursement of up to $10,000.
● International Community: Through the scholarship, students at the University of Auckland can interact with a lively and diverse international community that promotes worldwide networks, friendships, and the sharing of experiences and knowledge with peers from around the globe.
