ELIGIBILITY - A first academic degree with above-average grades is required, usually a three-year university degree (minimum: Second Class Upper Division or equivalent). - Candidates are not eligible if they do not have a Second Class Upper Division or above. - Must exhibit a strong sense of motivation and dedication to the program. - Should have a strong knowledge of the teaching language. - At the time of application, they must have earned their most recent degree from a university within the previous six years. - Must be citizens or long-term inhabitants of a nation in Sub-Saharan Africa. - One of the following is required:. - A) A public university employee; b) A candidate under consideration for a teaching or research staff position; c) A public sector worker; or d) A DAFI Program alumna. - Ghana is the host nation. - Study Abroad: Research in Africa. - Category: Master’s, PhD, and Postgraduate Scholarships. - All African nations are eligible. - Benefits of the Scholarship: Complete financial support | €6,460 Annual Stipend | Travel and Research Expense Coverage | Health Insurance Included. - Language Requirement: IELTS is not necessary. - Benefits :. - Annual tuition fees are fully reimbursed. - Allowance for Study and Research: €460 annually. - One printing allowance is given at the conclusion of the program. - Monthly Scholarship (Food, Lodging, etc.):. - €500 for an in-country PhD. - €550 for an in-region PhD. - Travel reimbursement (only within the region): given twice, at the beginning and conclusion of the scholarshi. - Only in-region scholars are covered by health insurance. - Extra Opportunity: DAAD In-Country/In-Region Master’s scholarship recipients are urged to apply for a three- to six-month research stay in Germany.
