ELIGIBILITY - Needs to be a domestic or foreign student. - Must be starting the first year of any doctoral program provided by the University of Manitoba and be enrolled full-time in the Faculty of Graduate Studies. - Must be starting a PhD program in graduate studies with a focus on research. - Must have completed the last 60 credit hours of study with a minimum degree grade point average of 3.75 (or equivalent). - Must keep up full-time enrollment in the University of Manitoba’s research-based PhD program in the Faculty of Graduate Studies. - Qualified if enrolled in a PhD program in its second, third, or fourth year and keeping a minimum 3.75 degree grade point average. - After their fourth year of study, PhD candidates are not eligible for the scholarship to be renewed.
