ELIGIBILITY - All nationalities are welcome to apply for the graduate fellowship. - To be considered, candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, while some departments may have greater standards. - Candidates must be enrolled full-time in a master’s or doctoral program at the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Graduate Studies that focuses on research. - The UMGF is not available to students participating in non-research programs such as MBA, MFin, and MSCM. - Applicants must exhibit exceptional potential as graduate students and researchers, showing promise in both roles. - Throughout the duration of their scholarship, recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and refrain from receiving grades lower than C+. - It is not possible to combine the UMGF with other scholarships of comparable or higher value. - Although the requirements for eligibility are set, each faculty is in charge of choosing the recipients for their own programs.

BENEFITS - Recipients of UMGF receive substantial financial assistance for living expenses, tuition, and research-related costs. - Master’s level rewards have a maximum value of $28,000 and are worth up to $14,000 yearly, with extensions of 12 or 24 months. - A maximum of $72,000 can be awarded for doctorate-level grants, which have an annual maximum of $18,000 and are renewable for 12, 24, 36, or 48 months. - The 2024 - 2025 UMGF is flexible in length, allowing students to fit their research and academic agendas. - UMGF encourages and supports research projects and gives applicants enough time to complete in-depth studies and make meaningful scholarly contributions. - The University of Manitoba graduation fellowship highlights the exceptional scholarly accomplishments and dedication of its recipients while also acknowledging and rewarding academic excellence. - Canada’s elite educational institutions are well-known around the world.
