  • Note — The field of human rights must be the specific subject of the research.
  • Also, Should have professional, volunteer, or academic experience that demonstrates a strong dedication to human rights activism.
  • Plus, Must not have earned a graduate research degree at the same level before.
  • Requirement: Must not have previously been awarded a University of Melbourne graduate research fellowship.

  • Plus, AUD $43,500 per year (pro rata for students enrolled part-time), with annual indexation.
  • Requirement: Up to two years for master’s by research programs and up to four years for doctoral degrees are covered by full tuition fees.
  • For students moving from within Australia, relocation assistance is AUD $2,000; for those moving from outside, it is AUD $3,000.
  • Note — Applicants from abroad on student visas are covered by a single policy called Overseas Student Health Coverage (OSHC).
