For candidates from any background, the University of Saskatchewan Graduate Scholarship offers competitive stipends, tuition exemptions, and access to internal and external financing. In order to give babies, the benefits of breast milk without the risk of HIV transmission, the project’s goal is to investigate the effects of giving HIV-infected breast milk to children. Donated breast milk will also be considered as an option.

In order to engage in this study, pregnant HIV-positive people and parents of infants exposed to the virus will be asked to participate in a semi-structured private interview or focus group. To learn more about their opinions on giving their infants donated breast milk is the goal.

  • Note — Expertise in HIV/AIDS, baby feeding, and human milk donation, coupled with practical experience with Indigenous community initiatives.
