International undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students can apply for fully funded scholarships through the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) Scholarships 2026. Full tuition, insurance, a monthly stipend of up to 7,000 RMB, and an accommodation allowance are all covered by the scholarship.

Nearly 2,000 international students from more than 100 countries have enrolled at USTC; 29% are seeking master’s degrees, and 63% are pursuing Ph.D. programs. Known as the “cradle of future scientists,” USTC is well-known for its cutting-edge scientific, engineering, management, and humanities programs that are backed by top-notch teaching and research.

USTC is a top choice for high-achieving students because of its international rankings, which include first in China by the Nature Publishing Index 2020 and third in mainland China (80th globally) by Times Higher Education 2020.

Eligibility Criteria

Non-Chinese nationals who are in excellent health and are not enrolled in classes in China at the moment are required.

Candidates for bachelor’s degrees

  • possess a high school diploma, which is the same as a Chinese high school diploma.
  • Have a certificate in HSK5
  • By September 1, 2026, be younger than 30.

Candidates for master’s degrees

  • possess an undergraduate degree
  • Become younger than 35 by September 1, 2026
  • Candidates for doctorates:
  • possess an advanced degree
  • By September 1, 2026, be younger than 40.
  • Students graduating in 2025: by July 2026, submit a Pre-graduation Certificate attesting to your completion of coursework and degree.
