Are you an overseas student who has an interest in computer science or mathematics? Your path to a fulfilling academic career in Canada may be paved with the help of the University of Waterloo’s Faculty of Mathematics Global Scholarships 2025. These esteemed awards give incoming undergraduate students financial aid and chances to succeed in computer science and mathematics.

The goal of the Faculty of Mathematics Global Scholarships is to honour foreign students who demonstrate both a strong academic interest in these disciplines and exceptional academic performance. Scholarships are given out across eight academic semesters, with amounts ranging from $12,000 to $25,000. Take note that these rewards are restricted to students enrolled in particular programs in the Faculty of Mathematics; programs in financial management, software engineering, and computing are not included.

Eligibility criteria

  • Hold a valid study permission and be enrolled as an international student.
  • Enrol in a Mathematics Faculty undergraduate program that has been authorised.
  • To keep the scholarship after the first year, maintain an excellent academic record, especially in mathematics, with an overall average of 80% or better.
  • Exhibit extracurricular activity in extracurricular activities like maths clubs, student government, sports, the arts, or competitions in computer science or mathematics.

  • The sum is split evenly among the eight terms.
  • Recipients are required to keep their cumulative GPA at 80% or above.
