ELIGIBILITY - Candidates must be enrolled as PhD candidates at universities that have earned accreditation and recognition. - Non-native English speakers must have at least an IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL iBT score of 85. - Candidates must be prepared to start the field research portion of their dissertations and have finished all PhD coursework. - It is necessary to submit a thorough study proposal that includes a literature review and a thorough methodology. The graduate program and the applicant’s advisor should have approved or are in the process of approving the proposal. - It is required that the applicant’s home institution obtain Institutional Review Board (IRB) permission. - The United Arab Emirates must be the main focus of the study, with Ras Al Khaimah serving as the main site for data collection and analysis. Ras Al Khaimah must continue to be the focal point if new places are added. - The study must focus on a topic in public policy, education, urban planning, public health, economic development, food availability, energy, or environmental policy, or a related social science.
