Three Thematic Award Categories ($30,000 per Track)

The MoveNow Social Innovation Challenge allocates $30,000 USD in grant capital across each of three core award categories (featuring one $10,000 top grant and four $5,000 grants per track):

1. Financial Confidence in the Digital Economy

Backing young innovators strengthening local and national economies by empowering micro-entrepreneurs, informal merchants, and small businesses to start, operate, and sustain enterprises with financial security. Key focus areas include digital accounting tools, accessible financial literacy programs, decentralized savings circles, micro-insurance access, and responsible financial technology built for underbanked populations.

2. Closing the Health Gap: Equality in Health Ecosystems

Supporting young changemakers creating inclusive health and wellbeing solutions that address systemic healthcare disparities. Special priority is given to initiatives addressing the historical underrepresentation of women, rural populations, and marginalized demographics in medical research, clinical diagnostics, maternal health, mental wellbeing, and community-led preventive care.

3. Community-Led Climate Resilience: Early Warning to Sustainable Livelihoods

Championing youth-led projects that assist vulnerable rural and urban communities to prepare for, withstand, and thrive amid climate volatility. Focus areas include hyper-local early warning mechanisms, drought-resistant agriculture, regenerative water systems, circular waste-to-value business models, and localized green job creation combining indigenous ecological wisdom with modern digital tools.
