About CFWH
The Canadian Foundation for Women’s Health supports research, education, advocacy, and professional development that advance the health of women in Canada and around the world.
Eligibility
- Affiliated with a Canadian university or health-care institution that can provide ethics review to Canadian standards
- Priority for members in good standing of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC)
- Projects must be directly related to women’s health and education
- Stand-alone projects, or clearly scoped deliverables within a larger funded project, achievable in two years or less
- Winners must submit quarterly progress reports to CFWH

Required Documents
Email all of the following to research@cfwh.org by the deadline:
- Cover letter - project title; research location; research team; total project amount; commitment that funds will be used as proposed (incomplete projects may block future CFWH funding)
- Curriculum Vitae (principal investigator)
- Itemized budget - all items, costs, and total
- Letter of institutional support
- Research proposal - up to 4 pages (excluding abstract/references), numbered pages, including: abstract (≤250 words), background, objective, rationale/need, methods, analysis plan, implications/impact, dissemination plan, timeline, references
CFWH emails receipt confirmation within about 5 business days; if you do not receive it, follow up. Incomplete proposals are not accepted. Reviewer comments/scores are not shared with applicants.
