What Is the GEAF Ambassador Programme?
GEAF is an international non-profit founded in 2023, headquartered in Geneva. Ambassadors join a cohort, receive mentorship and expert training, then implement a community project in one of five themes: waste reduction and pollution prevention; marine and water protection; environmental education and community empowerment; climate-smart agriculture; and forest and biodiversity protection.
Previous trainers have included speakers linked to ILO, IISD, UNEP, UNDP, WIPO and others. The same speakers are not guaranteed for 2027.

Official confirmation of the 2027 cohort is planned for winter 2026. Programme launch is early 2027; graduation is summer 2027.
Who Can Apply
- At least 18 years old when applying (no upper age limit)
- Fluent in English or French (basic English required even for French-speaking applicants)
- Strong communication skills and commitment to sustainability and environmental justice
- Experience in community outreach and implementing local initiatives
- Available for the full six months, including mandatory online sessions
- Reliable internet access
- Ready to implement a local project on 29 April 2027
Open worldwide. You may apply independently; representing an NGO is encouraged but not required. No specific university degree is listed as mandatory. Email applications are not accepted.
What Ambassadors Receive
- Expert-led training and one-to-one project support
- Implementation grant for an approved local project (subject to rules, budget validation, and reporting)
- Communication and visibility support (templates, messaging, design)
- Access to GEAF’s international ambassador network
- Formal recognition at graduation in summer 2027
Project funding is not a personal cash award or salary.

Is there a deadline?
GEAF has not published an official closing date. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis during summer and autumn 2026. Apply as early as possible.
Is it only for Africa?
No. It is a global programme. Applicants from Africa and every other region may apply if they meet the requirements.
Is it paid?
There is no salary. Approved local projects receive implementation support/grant after budget validation. You commit about 5 - 10 hours per week.
Do I need a degree?
No specific degree is required. Leadership, community experience, and a feasible project matter more.
When is Green Earth Action Day?
29 April 2027. Ambassadors continue learning and reporting through spring, then graduate in summer 2027.
