ELIGIBILITY - Candidates must be overseas students with exceptional graduate-level academic accomplishments, whether they are new to Japan or already reside there. - During the scholarship period, candidates must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.30 out of 3.00 in their finished or ongoing coursework. - Candidates must fulfill a minimum of one of the following English language prerequisites:. - Obtain a B2 or above on an English proficiency test that is recognized by the CEFR. - Complete prior English-language coursework that meets the standards for admission to a Japanese graduate school’s Master’s or PhD programs. - Candidates must fulfill the requirements for admission to graduate programs at Hokkaido University. - Japan is the host nation. - Study Area: Asia. - Category: Master’s, PhD, and Postgraduate Scholarships. - All nationalities are eligible. - Benefits include a full scholarship, an annual stipend of $11,709, and travel assistance. - IELTS Requirement: Not necessary. - Benefits :. - Duration of Scholarship:. - Two-year Master’s program. - Three-year doctoral program. - Monthly Allowance:. - Master’s Students: 144,000 Japanese yen a month. - Doctoral Students: 145,000 Japanese yen a month. - Travel Assistance:. - Arrival and return airfare will be covered by MEXT. - Coverage of Academic Fees and Tuition:. - There is no application fee. - Waiver of the matriculation fee. - Complete exemption from tuition fees.
