ELIGIBILITY - Overseas applicants who have achieved exceptional academic success in graduate school and who are either new to Japan or currently live there are required. - Must be able to maintain a GPA of 2.30/3.00 or better over the scholarship duration, whether in their current or prior degree program. - One of the following language requirements must be fulfilled:. - Reach a CEFR level of B2 or above for English competence (based on accepted English language examinations). - Have fulfilled the prerequisites for admission to a Japanese graduate program by completing previous schooling (a bachelor’s or master’s program) where English was the main language of instruction. - Japan is the host nation. - Study in Asia as a Study Abroad. - Scholarships in the Postgraduate, Master’s, and PhD categories. - All nationalities are welcome to apply. - Reward: Complete financial support; includes travel expenses, a $11,709 annual stipend, and full tuition coverage. - Language Requirement: IELTS is not necessary. - Benefits :. - Scholarship duration:. - Two-year Master’s program. - Three-year doctoral program. - Monthly Allotment:. - 144,000 JPY for master’s students. - 145,000 JPY for PhD candidates. - Travel-related costs:. - MEXT offers round-trip airfare (arrival and return tickets). - Academic fees and tuition:. - There is no application fee. - Matriculation fee: Not required. - Tuition: Completely waived.
