ELIGIBILITY - A GPA of 2.30/3.00 or more in the most recent degree program is required, along with exceptional academic achievement. - Must be a citizen of a nation that has diplomatic ties to Japan. - Must be under 34 on April 1st of the first year of the MEXT Scholarship term. - Must be a graduate of a Japanese university or have intellectual aptitude that is on par with or better than that of a Japanese university graduate. - The applicant’s subject of study should be appropriate for research at Science Tokyo and either identical to or closely connected to their prior academic experience. - Must exhibit fluency in the English language. - Must be able to reach Japan by late September or early October, two weeks before to the commencement of the third quarter. - Japan is the host nation. - Study in Asia as a Study Abroad. - Scholarships in the Postgraduate, Master’s, and PhD categories. - All nationalities are welcome to apply. - Reward: Complete financial support; includes flights, a $11,616 yearly stipend, and full tuition coverage. - Language Requirement: IELTS is not necessary. - Benefits :. - Stipend. - JPY 147,000 per month for master’s students. - PhD candidates: JPY 148,000 a month. - Fees for education:. - Science Tokyo waives all tuition and enrollment costs. - If the applicant is chosen by MEXT to be placed at Science Tokyo, the entrance exam money will be repaid. - Travel-related costs:. - MEXT offers round-trip airfare to and from Japan, subject to certain requirements. - Duration of Scholarship:. - Includes all of the typical study time needed for the relevant degree program.
