Eligibility Criteria

  • Prior to applying for the scholarship, a candidate must select a course of study at a Latvian Higher Education Institution (HEI).
  • Before completing the scholarship application, a candidate must get a confirmation letter from the selected Latvian HEI.
  • Before applying, candidates who are currently enrolled in a Latvian HEI must also submit a letter of confirmation for their selected or current program.
  • The designated contact person at the Latvian HEI is required to issue the confirmation letter.
  • A Latvian state scholarship can be awarded to a foreign student for a maximum of two terms while they are enrolled in classes.
