Singapore Offers Fully Funded Fellowships to Foreign Candidates

The ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute in Singapore is currently accepting applications for the Wang Gungwu Visiting Fellowship 2026, a fully funded two-month program.

Through policy-oriented research on the changing ties between key global powers and their effects on Southeast Asia, this esteemed fellowship seeks to assist the next generation of scholars, leaders, and policymakers.

Research subjects could be

  • Global politics and security
  • Local economics
  • Governance and digital technology

With an emphasis on topics like

  • US-China ties
  • China’s ascent and its impact on Southeast Asia
  • ASEAN-China relations
  • The Sea of South China

Every fellow who is chosen will go to Singapore, and ISEAS will pay for all of their costs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • All nationalities are welcome to apply.
  • intended for mid-career policymakers and post-doctoral scholars.
  • Applications are also encouraged from mid-career professionals without a Ph.D. or comparable degree.
  • Candidates without a Ph.D. are required to submit a CV or resume that displays a strong interest in research and appropriate work experience.
