Eligibility
- Aged 18 - 35 at the time of application
- Citizen of one of: Burundi, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, or Uganda (wherever currently living)
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, listening, speaking)
- Has never attended YALI RLC trainings (YALI RLC alumni not eligible)
- Emerging leaders committed to community impact, integrity, and accountable leadership
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated leadership in public service, business, entrepreneurship, or civic life
- Active community service, volunteering, or mentoring
- Ability to work cooperatively across different viewpoints
- Clear communication and positive attitude
- Knowledge of / interest in the chosen track with relevant experience
- Understanding of ethical, accountable leadership and commitment to community impact
- Thoughtful, original reflection in written application answers
