Applications are open for the Center for Eastern European Studies (CEES) Fellowship Program 2027 (Funded) - a residential research fellowship at the University of Zurich for young or mid-career scholars in the social sciences and humanities working on Eastern Europe, Russia, the Caucasus, or Central Asia.
For Spring 2027, CEES offers 5 - 6 fellowships of up to four months starting mid-February 2027. Funding covers a living stipend plus travel and administrative costs. Deadline: 12 October 2026. Submit one English PDF to cees@isos.uzh.ch.

About the Fellowship
Fellows pursue independent research in Zurich, join CEES scholarly activities, access UZH libraries and the CEES expert community, hold a lecture/seminar/workshop on their topic, and are expected to publish findings in a CEES publication outlet. The programme is funded by the Department of History and supported by the University of Zurich.
