Full description, requirements, and what to expect

Apply for Tara's Circle 2026 - an international grant and acceleration programme from Tara for Women supporting women-led projects with social, environmental, and economic impact. Up to €100,000 is awarded across five thematic areas, with up to €20,000 per area (1st: €10,000 · 2nd: €6,000 · 3rd: €4,000). Open globally to women founders with a defined or functional MVP. Applications close 17 September 2026 at 12:00 p.m. CEST.

All 15 winners receive cash awards plus a six-month support programme with mentoring, training, visibility, networking, and potential investor connections. The awards gala takes place in Madrid, Spain on 18 November 2026.

What Is Tara's Circle?

Tara's Circle is Tara for Women's flagship international programme for women-led ventures creating measurable impact. In 2026 it expands into a multi-sector initiative spanning sustainability, health, social innovation, technology, and impact-driven design and fashion.

Beyond cash awards, winners gain strategic mentorship, specialised training, international visibility, ecosystem networking, and potential connections with investors and partners.

Award Structure

Each of the five thematic areas receives €20,000, distributed as:

  • 1st place: €10,000
  • 2nd place: €6,000
  • 3rd place: €4,000

In total, 15 cash awards up to the full €100,000 pool.

Five Thematic Areas

  1. Sustainability, Environment & Mobility - circular economy, clean energy, climate adaptation, biodiversity, sustainable transport
  2. Health & Well-Being - preventive care, mental health, women's health, caregiving, healthcare access
  3. Social Innovation, Education & Community Development - social entrepreneurship, inclusive education, workforce development, digital inclusion
  4. Technology & Science - AI, data, platforms, apps, scalable tech with social or environmental impact
  5. Design, Culture & Impact-Driven Fashion - sustainable fashion, ethical design, cultural heritage, creative industries with measurable impact

Projects may apply under one or more areas if there is a clear, coherent fit.

Who Can Apply

  • Women aged 18 or over at the time of application
  • Women-led projects - woman founder or co-founder with an active leadership role
  • Projects of national or international scope (no geographic restriction)
  • Initiatives at seed stage with a defined MVP or functional MVP
  • Teams committed to social, environmental, and/or economic impact with scalability potential

Eligible stages include seed projects, defined MVP (designed but not yet operational), and functional MVP (tested with real users).

Winner Support Programme

All 15 winners enter a six-month programme including:

  • Strategic mentoring with entrepreneurial and impact professionals
  • Visibility through media, social networks, and partner events
  • Specialised training (innovation, leadership, sustainability, AI, fundraising)
  • Networking with investors, companies, and institutions
  • Potential connections with business angels, seed funds, and accelerators

How to Apply

  1. Read the Open Call Guidelines 2026 carefully.
  2. Prepare a completed application form, Pitch Deck (PDF), and elevator pitch video (max 2 minutes, English or Spanish - upload to YouTube with a public link).
  3. Ensure all information is consistent across your form, deck, and video.
  4. Submit via the official platform before 17 September 2026, 12:00 p.m. CEST:

  5. Apply early - support requests in the final 48 hours may not be answered before the deadline.

What is the maximum grant?

Up to €10,000 for first place in each thematic area. Each area awards €20,000 total across three winners.

When is the deadline?

17 September 2026 at 12:00 p.m. CEST - this is midday, not end of day. Convert carefully to your local time.

Can I apply from Africa or outside Europe?

Yes. The call is open internationally with no geographic restriction.

Do I need a working product?

You need at least a defined MVP or a functional MVP tested with users. Pure ideas without validation are not eligible.

Can I apply in more than one thematic area?

Yes, if your project genuinely fits multiple areas (e.g. health + technology).

Is the funding guaranteed for all international winners?

Disbursement depends on legal and operational feasibility. Tara for Women may offer alternative non-financial support where transfers are restricted.
