Applications are open for the Creative Changemakers Fellowship (CCMF) 2026 - a 3-month hybrid fellowship from Civic Hive for Nigerian creatives who use storytelling, media, and art to drive civic engagement, democratic participation, and social change.

The programme selects 15 emerging creatives for virtual learning, in-person creative labs, mentorship, and hands-on production. What Is the Creative Changemakers Fellowship?

CCMF is designed to nurture creatives who use content, media, and art to shape narratives, mobilise citizens, demand accountability, and strengthen democratic participation - especially as Nigeria and wider Africa face shrinking civic space and rising misinformation.

The fellowship blends:

  • Virtual learning sessions on civic issues and content practice
  • In-person creative labs for collaboration and production
  • Mentorship with leading Nigerian creators
  • Hands-on production of evidence-based work on real social issues

Fellows are expected to learn actively and produce content that speaks to governance, accountability, transparency, and civic participation.
