What Is the Tech Policy Press Fellowship?
Tech Policy Press is a nonprofit media organization that publishes opinion, analysis, and reporting at the intersection of technology and democracy. The fellowship supports mid-career professionals to pursue independent public-interest work on urgent tech policy questions - from AI governance and platform regulation to digital rights and corporate power.
Fellows contribute monthly analysis or reporting, attend cohort and editorial check-in meetings, and build a significant body of published work showcased on Tech Policy Press and in its newsletter and podcast.

Fellowship Expectations
- Contribute at least monthly analysis or reporting on technology and democracy (topic articulated at application)
- Attend a mandatory hour-long monthly cohort meeting
- Attend a monthly editorial check-in with Tech Policy Press staff
- Collaborate with other fellows and the editorial team as appropriate
- Meet agreed deadlines; disclose potential conflicts of interest
- Monthly submissions are exclusive to Tech Policy Press (republishing allowed)
